Phonus mareoticus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Libya hingga Mesir. Nama ilmiah Phonus mareoticus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alire Raffeneau Delile pada tahun 1990.
