Phragmites australis subsp. berlandieri adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan) yang dapat tumbuh di media tergenang air (helofit) dan memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan Serikat hingga Amerika tengah, Amerika Selatan bagian selatan, utara dan barat. Nama ilmiah Phragmites australis subsp. berlandieri diperkenalkan oleh Eugène Pierre Nicolas Fournier pada tahun 2007.
