Phyllanthus grandifolius merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Phyllanthaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Honduras. Nama ilmiah Phyllanthus grandifolius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
