Phymosia abutiloides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Bahama, Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Phymosia abutiloides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicaise Auguste Desvaux pada tahun 1825.
