Physalis eggersii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kepulauan Virgin (St. Thomas: Pulau Water). Nama ilmiah Physalis eggersii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Eugen Schulz pada tahun 1909.
