Physalis leptophylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko utara dan barat hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Physalis leptophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Benjamin Lincoln Robinson pada tahun 1894.
