Physocarpus capitatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Alaska hingga Amerika Serikat bagian barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan pacific ninebark. Nama ilmiah Physocarpus capitatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederick Traugott Pursh pada tahun 1891.
