Phytolacca rugosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Phytolaccaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Venezuela dan Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Phytolacca rugosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Karl Heinrich Braun pada tahun 1851.
