Picrolemma sprucei merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Simaroubaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia selatan dan tenggara, Venezuela (Amazonas) dan Peru, hingga French Guiana. Nama ilmiah Picrolemma sprucei diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1862.
