Pilea herniarioides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Urticaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga Ekuador, Florida hingga Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan caribbean clearweed. Nama ilmiah Pilea herniarioides diperkenalkan oleh Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1821.
