Pilea nana merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Veracruz). Nama ilmiah Pilea nana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederik Michael Liebmann pada tahun 1851.
