Pilea subcoriacea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Urticaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China selatan. Nama ilmiah Pilea subcoriacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Raphael Eduard Handel-Mazzetti pada tahun 1982.
Pilea symmeria var. pterocaulis S.S.Chien Pilea symmeria var. subcoriacea Hand.-Mazz.
