Pinus discolor merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Pinaceae (suku pinus-pinusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona tenggara hingga New Mexico barat daya dan Meksiko utara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan border pinyon. Nama ilmiah Pinus discolor pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1979.
