Pinus thunbergii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Pinaceae (suku pinus-pinusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Korea, Jepang tengah dan selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan japanese black pine. Nama ilmiah Pinus thunbergii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Filippo Parlatore pada tahun 1868.
