Piptatherum songaricum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Asia tengah hingga Mongolia. Nama ilmiah Piptatherum songaricum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1951.
