Piptochaetium avenacioides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan florida speargrass. Nama ilmiah Piptochaetium avenacioides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Valentine Nash pada tahun 1968.
