Piptocoma macrophylla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Kolombia hingga Venezuela utara. Nama ilmiah Piptocoma macrophylla diperkenalkan oleh Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 1996.
