Pityopsis aspera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan pineland silkgrass. Nama ilmiah Pityopsis aspera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1933.
