Placodiscus bancoensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pantai Gading hingga Ghana. Nama ilmiah Placodiscus bancoensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama André Aubréville pada tahun 1938.
