Placodiscus leptostachys merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kamerun (Gn. Kamerun). Nama ilmiah Placodiscus leptostachys diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ludwig Adolph Timotheus Radlkofer pada tahun 1879.
