Plantago asperrima merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Spanyol tengah, timur, dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Plantago asperrima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Michel Gandoger pada tahun 1905.
