Platea excelsa var. borneensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Metteniusaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan Malesia hingga Papuasia. Nama ilmiah Platea excelsa var. borneensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Heino Heine pada tahun 1969.
