Platea excelsa var. microphylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Metteniusaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Platea excelsa var. microphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Otto Sleumer pada tahun 1969.
