Platychorda rivalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia barat daya. Nama ilmiah Platychorda rivalis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Barbara Gillian Briggs pada tahun 2001.
