Platystele aurea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan epifit dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Panama hingga Ekuador timur. Nama ilmiah Platystele aurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Leslie Andrew Garay pada tahun 1973.
