Platystemon californicus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Papaveraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tibet tenggara, China (Gansu barat daya, Sichuan barat dan Yunnan barat laut), hingga Myanmar timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan creamcups.
