Pleiotaxis overlaetii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah RD Kongo. Nama ilmiah Pleiotaxis overlaetii pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1936.
