Pleodendron macranthum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Canellaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Puerto Rico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chupa gallo. Nama ilmiah Pleodendron macranthum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henri Ernest Baillon pada tahun 1899.
