Pleuropogon oregonus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Oregon (Union County, Lake County). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan oregon semaphoregrass. Nama ilmiah Pleuropogon oregonus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Mary Agnes Chase pada tahun 1938.
