Pleuropogon sabinei adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh pada genangan air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Subarctic hingga Kanada bagian timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan false semaphoregrass. Nama ilmiah Pleuropogon sabinei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1823.
