Pluchea carolinensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cure for all. Nama ilmiah Pluchea carolinensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1839.
