Pluchea odorata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada tenggara hingga wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sweetscent. Nama ilmiah Pluchea odorata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexandre Henri Gabriel de Cassini pada tahun 1826.
