Pluchea polygonata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Pluchea polygonata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1924.
