Poa nivicola merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Poa nivicola pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Nicholas Ridley pada tahun 1916.
