Polygala telephium merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Polygalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil tenggara dan selatan hingga Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Polygala telephium diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Hippolyte Chodat pada tahun 1901.
