Polypogon linearis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Chili. Nama ilmiah Polypogon linearis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1836.
