Porophyllum amplexicaule merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko (Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí). Nama ilmiah Porophyllum amplexicaule pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1852.
