Porophyllum leiocarpum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil (São Paulo). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan yerba de peo. Nama ilmiah Porophyllum leiocarpum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Per Axel Rydberg pada tahun 1916.
