Porophyllum ruderale var. macrocephalum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona, Texas, Brazil, hingga Karibia selatan. Nama ilmiah Porophyllum ruderale var. macrocephalum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1970.
