Portulaca australis merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Portulacaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Australia utara dan timur laut hingga Pasifik barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Portulaca australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Stephan Friedrich Ladislaus Endlicher pada tahun 1834.
