Portulaca teretifolia merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Portulacaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Belize, Karibia, Kolombia hingga Venezuela, Brazil timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan roundleaf purslane. Nama ilmiah Portulaca teretifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1823.
