Potentilla anglica merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia, Eropa, Siberia, hingga Türkiye. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan english cinquefoil. Nama ilmiah Potentilla anglica pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1790.
