Potentilla aperta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Nevada. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sierra valley mousetail. Nama ilmiah Potentilla aperta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Thomas Howell pada tahun 1962.
