Potentilla stipularis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Subarctic. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan stipulated cinquefoil. Nama ilmiah Potentilla stipularis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
