Pothos scandens var. cognatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Assam hingga Semenanjung Malaysia. Nama ilmiah Pothos scandens var. cognatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Wilhelm Schott pada tahun 1879.
