Pothos tener merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sulawesi hingga Vanuatu. Nama ilmiah Pothos tener pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1820.
