Pouteria amazonica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Amazonas). Nama ilmiah Pouteria amazonica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ludwig Adolph Timotheus Radlkofer pada tahun 1882.
