Pouteria mongaguensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (São Paulo). Nama ilmiah Pouteria mongaguensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joáo Rodrigues de Mattos pada tahun 1992.
