Prolobus nitidulus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Brazil (Bahia). Nama ilmiah Prolobus nitidulus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1982.
