Proserpinaca pectinata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Haloragaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Newfoundland, Texas timur, hingga Kuba. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan combleaf mermaidweed. Nama ilmiah Proserpinaca pectinata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1792.
